Often one of the most complex issues in a divorce is the division of property.  At Greenberg & Nguyen, we will assist you in obtaining all property you are entitled to under the law.

Community Property

Nevada is a community property state.  That means that most property acquired during the marriage, including monies related to income, is presumed to be community property.  Absent compelling circumstances Nevada law requires that community property be divided 50/50 upon divorce.

Separate Property

Pre-marital property, as well as inheritances and gifts to one spouse that are received during the marriage, are generally considered separate property not subject to division upon divorce.
